Role: Senior Shopify Developer
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Shopify Developer to join our team and take ownership of Shopify development, customization, integrations, and optimization projects.
As this is a senior-level role, strong technical expertise along with excellent English communication skills is required. The candidate should be confident in communicating with clients, developers, and internal teams and should be able to independently manage projects and deliver within deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify stores and themes.
- Build custom Shopify sections, templates, and components.
- Work extensively with Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Develop and customize Shopify 2.0 themes and architecture.
- Integrate Shopify APIs, webhooks, third-party applications, and external services.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize Shopify stores for performance.
- Ensure responsive, cross-browser-compatible, and user-friendly implementations.
- Implement Shopify SEO and performance best practices.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to convert designs into functional Shopify websites.
- Perform testing, debugging, maintenance, and ongoing optimization.
- Use Git/version control for development and collaboration.
- Manage multiple Shopify projects and ensure timely delivery.
Required Skills
- 2–4 years of hands-on Shopify development experience.
- Strong experience in Shopify theme development and customization.
- Excellent knowledge of Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience with custom Shopify sections, templates, and themes.
- Strong understanding of Shopify 2.0 architecture.
- Experience with Shopify APIs, webhooks, and third-party app integrations.
- Good understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Knowledge of Shopify performance optimization and SEO best practices.
- Familiarity with Git/version control.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently handle projects from development to delivery.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work within deadlines.
Communication Skills – Important
Since this is a senior role, the candidate must have strong and fluent English communication skills.
The candidate should be able to:
- Communicate clearly and confidently with clients and internal teams.
- Understand and explain technical requirements in English.
- Participate effectively in meetings and discussions.
- Provide clear project updates.
- Communicate professionally through email, calls, and messages.
