Job Description – Store Manager
Location: Chennai Plant
Department: Operations / Supply Chain
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Store Manager to oversee and manage all store operations at our Chennai production facility. The role involves handling inward material, GRN, inventory control, and coordination with production and procurement teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inward & GRN Management
- Ensure timely and accurate receipt of raw materials and consumables.
- Verify materials against PO, invoice, and delivery challans.
- Generate and maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note) in the system.
- Coordinate with QA/QC for inspection and approval of incoming materials.
2. Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate stock records (RM, WIP, FG, consumables).
- Ensure optimum inventory levels to support uninterrupted production.
- Conduct regular stock audits / cycle counts and reconcile variances.
- Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory.
3. Store Operations
- Ensure proper material storage, handling, and FIFO/FEFO practices.
- Maintain store layout, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Track and control material issuance to production.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for audits.
4. Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and finance teams.
- Provide daily/weekly MIS reports on stock status and consumption.
- Support in closing monthly inventory and audits.
Key Requirements
- Experience: 3-4+ years in store management in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of GRN, inventory control, and warehouse operations
- Experience in handling ERP systems (Zoho & others)
- Good understanding of material handling and storage practices
- Strong coordination and communication skills
