Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef de Partie (CDP) to join our culinary team in Dalhousie. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing an assigned kitchen section, ensuring consistent food quality, maintaining hygiene standards, and supporting the Executive Chef in delivering an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the assigned kitchen section independently.
- Prepare and present high-quality dishes in accordance with hotel recipes and standards.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Supervise and guide Commis Chefs and Kitchen Helpers during daily operations.
- Train junior kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen procedures.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and stock levels within the assigned section.
- Minimize food wastage and maintain cost control.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (FSSAI/HACCP practices).
- Coordinate effectively with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth service.
- Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and introducing new dishes when required.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
- Follow all hotel health, safety, and operational procedures.

Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts preferred.
- 3–6 years of experience as a CDP or Senior Commis in a reputed hotel or resort.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to manage a kitchen section efficiently during service.
- Good leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
