- Plan and conduct yoga classes for beginners, intermediate, and advanced participants.
- Demonstrate and guide students through yoga postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation practices.
- Monitor participants' form and provide corrections to ensure safety and effectiveness.
- Modify poses and routines to accommodate different ages, fitness levels, and physical limitations.
- Educate students about yoga principles, body awareness, stress management, and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Track attendance and maintain participant records when required.
- Ensure yoga equipment and practice spaces are clean, safe, and organized.
- Stay updated on yoga techniques, industry trends, and professional certifications.
- Promote wellness programs, workshops, and special events.
Qualifications
- Certification from a recognized yoga training program (e.g., 200-hour or 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training).
- Knowledge of yoga philosophy, anatomy, physiology, and injury prevention.
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
- Previous teaching experience is often preferred.
