The Team You’ll Join
You will join Envestnet’s Technology team, where we design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and robust WealthTech solutions that power the future of financial advice. The team collaborates closely with product, operations, and business stakeholders to drive innovation, enhance efficiency, and enable sustainable growth. How You’ll Contribute
As a Senior Business System Analyst on the Engineering team you will report to Senir Manager BSA, and you will play a key role in translating customer business needs into feature specifications and ensure that the developed features meet those needs through collaboration with Product and Scrum teams. The role is responsible for ensuring that requirements are clearly defined by working closely with Product, analyzing all aspects of the existing platform and functionalities to understand impacts, and collaborating with Development and Product stakeholders to design effective solutions. Your responsibilities include:
- Clearly understand and articulate business requirements and product definitions, helping to extract business and functional requirements from appropriate sources such as Product, clients, and the BA team.
- Analyze requirements to evaluate their impact on existing features and propose possible solutions in collaboration with the Development team.
- Document solution designs and refine them iteratively with Development and Product teams.
- Write and groom well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria including both functional and on-functional requirements.
- Address build-time clarification questions, escalating to other stakeholders as necessary.
- Perform functional testing of the final product.
- Prepare release notes for enhancements.
- Support the team on defect analysis and clarify open questions working with product.
- Leverage AI tools and techniques to support requirements analysis, solution design, and quality validation, and feature documentation.
- Utilize AI tools to automate routine tasks, streamline workflows, and extract actionable insights from data, resulting in significant improvements in efficiency and decision-making quality.
What You’ll Need to Bring
- Minimum 4 years as a business analyst with a strong track record of delivering quality solutions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Engineering or MBA
- Analytical and reasoning skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience working in fast-paced Agile environments and embracing iterative development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for seamless collaboration.
- Solid understanding of SDLC and experience.
Nice-to-Haves
- Knowledge of Investment Banking or Wealth Management.
- Resourceful and proactive in resolving business use cases.
