Job description
- Virtual Machines (Linux/Windows)
- Azure Backup & Site Recovery issues
- Disk, networking, and storage failures
- App Services, ACR, AKS basic troubleshooting
- Perform operational tasks such as:
- VM provisioning, scaling, patching
- Backup validation
- Identity user issues (AAD)
- Storage account management
- NSG rule updates, diagnostics
- Execute runbooks and SOPs for recurring tickets.
- Assist with Azure Defender alerts and initial threat investigation.
- Raise and manage Microsoft support tickets when required.
- Work with L1 L2 L3 engineers for escalations and complex issues.
- Maintain documentation, knowledge base articles, and incident logs.
Technical Skills Required:
- Good understanding of Azure Compute, Networking, Storage & Identity.
- Experience with:
- Azure VMs (management, patching, backup)
- Azure Backup / ASR
- Azure Monitor / Log Analytics
- NSGs, VNets, Subnets, VPN/ExpressRoute basics
- Azure App Services (basic debugging)
- Experience in PowerShell or CLI scripting (basic/medium level).
- Understanding of security best practices, Azure Defender, Sentinel (preferred but not mandatory).
- Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).
