ROLE SUMMARY
The Cost Engineer is responsible for the control, monitoring and forecasting of project costs
throughout the full lifecycle of construction projects, from planning and execution through to project
close-out. The role is central to ensuring that projects are delivered within approved budgets and
that financial risks are identified and managed proactively. The role also needs to control the project
billing to the client side and act as a bridge between the project site and the Commercial
department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, maintain and control project cost baselines and approved budgets
- Monitor actual expenditures against budget and forecast cost at completion (EAC)
- Identify, analyse, and report cost variances; recommend and track corrective actions
- Prepare and maintain change order logs; evaluate the cost impact of scope changes
- Collaborate with project managers, schedulers, procurement and site teams
- Review contractor invoices and progress payment applications for compliance
- Produce monthly cost reports, S-curves and executive dashboards
- Maintain and update cost management systems and databases
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education B.E. / B.Tech
Experience 2-3 years in cost control on infrastructure or
industrial projects
Certifications AACE CCP / CEP preferred
Software Primavera P6 (Preferred), MS Excel
(Compulsory)
Languages Proficient in English (written and spoken)
Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month
