Position Overview
Marikar Nissan, a trusted name under the prestigious Marikar Group, is seeking a dynamic, result-oriented, and experienced Body Shop Manager for our state-of-the-art facility in Trivandrum.
In this role, you will take total ownership of the accident repair and paint shop operations, driving high standards of technical excellence, maximum insurance claim conversion, operational efficiency, and exceptional customer satisfaction (CSI).
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the body shop, ensuring optimal utilization of machinery, tools, and floor space.
- Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor technicians, denting/painting crews, and front-office advisors to maintain peak productivity and safety compliance.
- Quality Control: Implement strict quality checks for structural repairs, welding, alignment, color matching, and paint finish before vehicle delivery.
- Customer Delight: Handle customer grievances proactively, explain repair estimates transparently, and ensure timely vehicle delivery to uphold high CSI scores.
- Target Achievement: Drive revenue targets for labor, spare parts, and paint consumables while keeping operational costs under check.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on managerial experience in an authorized automobile dealership body shop (Nissan or other major passenger car brands preferred).
- Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related field.
- Skills Required:
- Strong technical expertise in modern body shop technology (frame straightening, MIG/SPOT welding, computerized paint booths, etc.).
- Excellent liaisoning skills with insurance surveyors and corporate partners.
- Proficiency in Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and MS Office.
- Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and time-management skills.
