We are looking for a Junior Psychiatrist to join our clinical team and grow with a mission-driven organisation that treats mental healthcare as both a science and a human calling.
The Role
As a Junior Psychiatrist, you'll work alongside senior psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, and a multidisciplinary care team to assess, diagnose, and treat patients across our inpatient and outpatient services. You'll be part of daily clinical rounds and contribute to individualised, measurement-based treatment planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric assessments, differential diagnosis, and treatment planning for inpatients and outpatients
- Participate in daily ward rounds and coordinate care with clinical psychologists and general-medicine colleagues
- Prescribe and monitor pharmacological treatment, tracking outcomes through measurement-based care
- Collaborate on integrated, recovery-oriented care plans that combine evidence-based treatment with holistic therapies
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with MHCA 2017 and organisational standards
- Support crisis management, risk assessment, and safety planning
- Engage in case discussions, clinical audits, and continuing professional development
Requirements
- MD (Psychiatry) / DNB (Psychiatry) / DPM from a recognised institution
- Valid registration with the relevant State Medical Council / NMC
- 0–3 years of post-qualification experience (recent graduates welcome)
- Sound knowledge of evidence-based psychiatric practice and psychopharmacology
- Strong clinical judgement, empathy, and communication skills
- Commitment to ethical, rights-based, patient-centred care
