Job Title: Security Guard
Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant, reliable, and professional Security Guard to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, visitors, and property. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to react calmly and efficiently in unexpected situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Surveillance & Patrol: Conduct regular foot patrols of the premises (interior and exterior) to check doors, windows, gates, and secure areas.
- Access Control: Monitor and authorize the entry and exit of employees, visitors, contractors, and vehicles. Maintain accurate visitor logs.
- Monitoring: Oversee security cameras (CCTV) and alarm systems, responding promptly to any suspicious activity or alerts.
- Incident Response: Respond immediately to emergencies, distress calls, or alarms. Provide assistance during medical emergencies, fire hazards, or security breaches.
- Reporting: Document detailed and accurate daily logs, noting any unusual occurrences, property damage, or security violations.
- Compliance: Enforce company policies, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.
- Liaison: Act as the first point of contact for local law enforcement or emergency services when required.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Security Guard or in a similar security/law enforcement role is preferred.
- Certification: Valid security guard license or registration (as required by local/state regulations). First Aid/CPR certification is a major plus.
- Skills:
- Strong observational skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and authoritative under pressure.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand or walk for long periods, patrol in various weather conditions, and occasionally lift heavy objects if needed.
- Background: Clean criminal record and ability to pass a background check.
