POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic, and result-oriented Sales Executive to drive market expansion and sales growth across General Trade (GT), Modern Trade (MT), and Institutional channels.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of the packaged food industry, consumer behavior, retail dynamics, distributor management, and route-to-market strategies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-growing company and play a key role in building the brand's presence across multiple markets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Development & Business Growth
* Drive sales growth across assigned territories and channels.
* Develop and execute market expansion plans in line with company objectives.
* Identify and onboard new distributors, retailers, and channel partners.
* Expand product availability and visibility across target markets.
* Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Distributor Management
* Identify, evaluate, appoint, and develop distributors in new and existing markets.
* Build strong distributor relationships and ensure sustainable business growth.
* Monitor distributor investments, inventory levels, billing, and secondary sales.
* Ensure efficient stock movement and minimize stock-outs.
* Conduct regular distributor business reviews and performance evaluations.
General Trade (GT) Channel Development
* Develop strong retail coverage and penetration across assigned territories.
* Increase outlet reach, product placement, and market visibility.
* Drive retailer engagement programs and promotional activities.
* Ensure execution excellence at the point of sale.
* Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
Modern Trade (MT) Management
* Coordinate with modern trade chains and regional key accounts.
* Support listing, onboarding, and expansion within organized retail formats.
* Ensure planogram compliance and in-store visibility.
* Monitor sales performance, stock levels, and promotional effectiveness.
* Work closely with store teams to maximize product movement.
HoReCa & Institutional Business
* Identify opportunities within hotels, restaurants, cafés, caterers, and institutional buyers.
* Generate product trials and develop long-term business relationships.
* Coordinate sampling and product presentations.
* Build a pipeline of potential institutional customers.
Market Expansion
* Explore opportunities in emerging cities and high-potential markets.
* Conduct market mapping and territory development exercises.
* Recommend expansion priorities based on market potential and consumer demand.
* Develop actionable plans for new market entry and distributor appointment.
Consumer & Market Insights
* Continuously monitor market trends, emerging food categories, and consumer preferences.
* Gather feedback from retailers, distributors, and consumers.
* Share market intelligence with management to support product development and business decisions.
* Track competitor launches, pricing, promotions, and distribution strategies.
Execution Excellence
* Ensure effective implementation of sales and marketing initiatives.
* Support product launches, activations, and promotional campaigns.
* Maintain visibility standards across retail channels.
* Ensure timely reporting and data accuracy.
Relationship Management
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with:
* Distributors
* Retailers
* Modern trade buyers
* HoReCa customers
* Channel partners
* Represent the company professionally and strengthen brand credibility in the marketplace.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)
The role will be evaluated on:

DESIRED PROFILE
* Graduate in any discipline
Experience
* 2–5 years of relevant sales experience
* Experience in packaged foods, FMCG, snacks, dairy, beverages, health foods, or related categories preferred
* Exposure to GT and MT channels is essential
* Experience handling distributors and market expansion activities preferred
* Ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities
* Negotiation and relationship-building skills
* Understanding of FMCG route-to-market systems
Channel Management
* Knowledge of General Trade and Modern Trade operations
* Understanding of distributor economics and management
* Familiarity with HoReCa and institutional sales processes
Market Understanding
* Awareness of emerging consumer trends
* Understanding of innovative packaged food categories
* Ability to interpret market and consumer insights
