Position: Legal Assessment Intern
Location: Pune (On-site)
Duration: 3 Months
About the Role:
We are looking for motivated law graduates with a strong interest in Corporate and Commercial Laws, Intellectual Property, Civil and Commercial Litigation, and White-Collar Crime. The intern will work closely with the legal team and assist in drafting, contract review, legal research, investigations, and case management across a broad spectrum of legal matters.
This is a 3-month assessment internship. Two candidates will be selected, and successful interns may be considered for absorption as Associates based on their performance during the assessment period and the firm's requirements.
A stipend will be paid during the internship period.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate & Commercial Contracts:
· Draft, review, and proofread commercial agreements, including NDAs, Service Agreements, SaaS Agreements, MSAs, MoUs, Founders' Agreements, Share Purchase Agreements, Shareholders' Agreements, Employment Agreements, Consultancy Agreements, and other commercial contracts.
· Identify legal and commercial risks and recommend appropriate revisions.
Litigation & Dispute Resolution
· Conduct legal research and case law analysis in civil, commercial, intellectual property, and white-collar crime matters.
· Assist in drafting and reviewing pleadings, legal notices, cease and desist notices, replies, rejoinders, complaints, recovery suits, affidavits, applications, and other litigation documents.
· Assist in intellectual property enforcement matters, including trademark, copyright, patent, and design infringement disputes.
· Prepare legal opinions, memoranda, case summaries, notes of arguments, hearing briefs, and litigation-related documentation.
· Review documentary and electronic evidence and assist in investigations and case management.
Corporate Advisory & Compliance:
· Conduct legal research on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
· Assist in drafting legal opinions, memoranda of opinion, advisory notes, board and shareholder resolutions, and other corporate secretarial documents.
· Support legal due diligence, prepare compliance checklists, and advise on regulatory and commercial risks.
Eligibility
· LL.B. / B.A. LL.B. / B.B.A. LL.B./ LL.M. degrees
· Strong academic background with an interest in corporate, commercial, litigation, intellectual property, and white-collar crime matters.
· Prior internship experience with a law firms, AORs or Arguing Counsels will be preferred.
