Job Description
Shailja Enterprises is seeking a Testing Engineer with hands-on experience in numerical relay testing to join our team at the Bhilai Steel Plant. This role requires in-depth technical expertise in electrical protection systems, testing procedures, and industrial site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Testing and commissioning of numerical protection relays (ABB, Siemens, SEL, etc.)
- Testing of CTs, PTs, circuit breakers, and power transformers
- Substation commissioning and functional relay logic testing
- Preparing detailed test reports and documentation
- Ensuring site safety and coordination with plant officials
Candidate Requirements:
- B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering (as per experience mentioned)
- Strong knowledge of numerical relay testing and secondary injection testing
- Familiarity with test kits like Omicron, MEGGER, CPRI kits, etc.
- Experience in industrial/substation environments, preferably steel or power plants
- Ability to interpret protection schemes, SLDs, and relay settings
