We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Hospital Billing Executive to join our team in Mohali. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in hospital billing across Ayushman Bharat, CGHS, and Private TPA/Insurance cases and should be capable of managing the complete billing cycle to ensure timely and maximum claim realization.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, verify, and submit accurate bills for:
- Ayushman Bharat (PM-JAY) patients
- CGHS beneficiaries
- Private TPA and insurance patients
- Corporate and cash patients, as required
- Ensure complete and error-free documentation before bill submission.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, medical records, pharmacy, laboratory, and other departments to obtain all required documents and approvals.
- Follow up with TPAs, insurance companies, CGHS authorities, and Ayushman portals regarding claim status, deficiencies, queries, and approvals.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and deficiencies promptly to minimize claim rejections and delays.
- Track outstanding claims and ensure timely collection of the complete billed amount.
- Maintain accurate billing records, MIS reports, and claim status trackers.
- Stay updated with the latest billing guidelines, package rates, and documentation requirements for Ayushman, CGHS, and insurance TPAs.
- Support audits and internal quality checks related to billing and claims.
Eligibility
- Minimum 5 years of hospital billing experience.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience in Ayushman Bharat (PM-JAY) billing is mandatory.
- Experience in CGHS and Private TPA/Insurance billing is mandatory.
- Good understanding of pre-authorization, claim submission, deficiency management, and claim settlement processes.
- Strong communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
- Proficiency in Hospital Information Systems (HIS), MS Excel, and billing software.
- Ability to work independently and ensure timely revenue realization.
Preferred Candidate
- Experience in a NABH-accredited hospital will be an advantage.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple billing cases simultaneously.
- Focused on minimizing claim rejections and maximizing collections.
