Overview
We are seeking a skilled Full Stack PHP Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications. This role requires strong expertise across both front-end and back-end technologies, with an emphasis on clean architecture, performance, and maintainability. You will work closely with product owners, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using PHP and modern front-end technologies
- Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery (or modern JS frameworks where applicable)
- Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and business logic using PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter (emphasis on Laravel)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security
- Design and manage relational databases, including schema design and query optimization
- Participate in code reviews and enforce best practices for code quality and maintainability
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues in development and production environments
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Ensure adherence to web security standards and data protection best practices
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of professional experience in PHP development and full-stack web application development
- Strong proficiency in PHP and at least one major framework (Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter)
- Solid front-end development experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and design patterns
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, including data modeling and optimization
- Hands-on experience with Git and collaboration platforms (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket)
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and basic DevOps concepts
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular)
- Experience building RESTful or GraphQL APIs
- Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development (TDD)
- Exposure to microservices architecture or distributed systems
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques and caching strategies (Redis, Memcached)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
