Responsibilities
-
Support innovative and creative scientific narrative development for client medical communication needs, including slides, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, or other digital and print content forms

Interpret complex scientific and medical data for different audiences, including trial protocols, data presentations, regulatory documentation, and statistical analysis methods
-
Synthesize, prioritize, and visualize data effectively when developing medical communication assets

Utilize critical analysis with strong attention to detail

Work with external clients, other team members, and stakeholders to develop communication points

Collaborate with creative studio, production, editorial, and account management internal teams for project delivery

Ensure that all author and stakeholder feedback is accurately and appropriately incorporated

Ensure accuracy and rigor, including provision of a full reference pack and annotations
-
Prepare materials for legal and regulatory review as necessary
-
Perform fact check quality control processes, including editing and adding of annotations when needed
-
Understand and champion scientific and communication strategies for 1 or more clients
-
Serve as subject matter expert in 1 to 2 disease states

Extract data in support of projects where needed, including landscape analysis, key opinion leader mapping, gap analysis, and literature reviews

Actively participate in internal and external meetings representing our work to clients, authors, and other external stakeholders

Ensure adherence to internal or client-directed specifications and templates for deliverables

Work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team-oriented environment, managing multiple projects in support of 1 or more clients at any given time

Proactively manage timelines to ensure on-time project completion

Raise issues appropriately and proposes solutions

Delivers the high-volume and fast turn-around projects like KOL bios/KOL ID projects
Qualifications
-
PhD, MD, PharmD, M. Pharm, MBBS, M. Science or other advanced professional degree in the health sciences

2 to 3 years of professional medical communications experience

Knowledge of good publication practice guidelines; ISMPP CMPP certification a plus but not required

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), medical literature databases (PubMed and/or EMBASE), referencing and scientific visualization software

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with account teams, other writers, editors, physicians, and clients

Ability to communicate medical/technical information to a wide variety of audiences and formats

Efficiently prioritize multiple tasks and provide effective direction to others; quickly evaluate the resources necessary to accomplish a goal and put those into action

Strong written and verbal fluency in English
