About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to join our growing team. This is not an entry-level position. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing USA domestic and international shipments from USA to any part of the world, creating shipping labels, understanding carrier policies, and ensuring compliance with customs and international shipping regulations.
The Shipping Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate shipments while minimizing delays, errors, and additional shipping costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and process shipping labels for domestic and international shipments using carrier platforms such as UPS and FedEx, and our internal software.
- Prepare shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, customs declarations, and other export/import documents as required.
- Ensure shipments comply with carrier requirements and international shipping regulations.
- Verify addresses, shipment details, package dimensions, and weights before dispatch.
- Coordinate with internal teams and customers regarding shipping schedules, tracking information, and delivery issues.
- Monitor shipments and proactively resolve shipping exceptions, delays, and delivery concerns.
- Research shipping options to determine the most efficient and cost-effective transportation methods.
- Stay updated on UPS, FedEx, and international shipping policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation.Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a Shipping Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator, or Shipping Operations role.
- Strong hands-on experience creating UPS and FedEx shipping labels.
- Solid understanding of U.S. domestic shipping procedures and international shipping processes.
- Knowledge of customs regulations, commercial invoices, HS codes, duties, taxes, and import/export documentation.
- Experience handling international shipments and understanding country-specific shipping requirements.
- Ability to troubleshoot shipping issues and work independently to find solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with shipping software, carrier portals, and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in printing, promotional products, apparel, or manufacturing industries is a plus.
- Familiarity with multiple international carriers and freight forwarding processes.
- Knowledge of shipping insurance, customs clearance procedures, and restricted/prohibited goods regulations.
