Roles and Responsibilities
· Ensure that all food preparation is in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Ensuring that food items received in the restaurant are as per the standards and specifications laid down by the management.
· Ensuring that all raw and cooked food items are stored properly at the right temperature for reuse thus, minimizing spoilage and wastage.
· Scheduling the kitchen employees to ensure adequate staff in all shifts.
· Design standardized food presentation guidelines for each dish.
· Maintaining all kitchen equipment and hoods and firefighting appliances in excellent working condition and in good repair also to monitor inventory levels of commonly used items.
· Look for ways to reduce spoilage of infrequently used items.
· Hire, train, and manage staff about proper kitchen sanitization methods.
Skills Required
· Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
· Good Communication and leadership skills
· Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
· Good understanding of MS Office, restaurant management software.
· Credentials in health and safety training
