Position Overview
The Audit Assistant will support senior audit staff and Chartered accountants in conducting statutory audits, internal audits, and compliance reviews for clients across various industries. This is an excellent entry-level position for commerce graduates or CA students seeking practical audit experience.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Support
- Assist in planning and executing audit engagements under supervision
- Prepare and maintain audit working papers and documentation
- Assist in Statutory audit, internal audit, tax audit and other audit assignments.
- Ensure compliance with auditing standards and firm policies
Taxation Matters
- Support tax audit procedures
- Support in Filing GST and TDS Returns
- Support in Income Tax Return Filings for Corporates, Firms, HUFs, Trusts, and Individuals.
- Support in preparing supporting documents for filing for tax exemptions.
- Support in researching and preparing necessary documents for tax representations.
Client Interaction
- Coordinate with client personnel for document collection
- Attend client meetings when required
- Communicate audit queries and follow up on responses
- Maintain professional relationships with clients
Administrative Tasks
- Update audit checklists and compliance matrices
- Assist in scheduling and executing audit assignments
- Maintain client confidentiality and data security
Required Qualifications
- B.Com/M.Com degree
- CA Intermediate or CA Final - Partly Completed.
- Working knowledge of accounting and auditing standards
- Familiarity with Companies Act 2013 and relevant regulations
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and accounting and taxation software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Experience
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Fresh graduates / CA Semi Qualified preferred
- Prior exposure to audit or accounting environment preferred
