We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager to lead overall manufacturing operations, ensuring the achievement of production targets while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, operational efficiency, and cost optimization through effective resource management and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage overall plant operations, including Production, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Stores, Dispatch, Utilities, and Production Planning.
- Develop and execute production plans to achieve delivery schedules, productivity targets, and optimum resource utilization.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, process controls, and customer specifications while minimizing rejection and rework.
- Monitor plant performance through key operational metrics and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve efficiency.
- Lead initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce manufacturing costs, eliminate process losses, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Ensure effective implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and other operational excellence practices.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, environmental, health, and safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture across the plant.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, Finance, and Human Resources to ensure seamless business operations.
- Prepare and monitor annual operating budgets, control manufacturing costs, and improve operational profitability.
- Lead workforce planning, employee development, performance management, and succession planning for plant personnel.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer audits, internal audits, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze production data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement sustainable process enhancements.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, discipline, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations.
- Experience in Non-Ferrous Metals, Metal Processing, Foundry, Casting, Extrusion, or Engineering Manufacturing is preferred.
- Proven experience in Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Sound knowledge of Quality Management Systems, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office.
