The Dispatcher & CCTV Monitoring Operator will be responsible for monitoring security operations in real time, communicating with field personnel, monitoring CCTV cameras and alarms, documenting incidents, and escalating emergencies according to company procedures.
This is a high-responsibility position requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV cameras and remote surveillance systems for client properties.
- Identify suspicious activity, trespassing, theft, vandalism, safety concerns, and other security incidents.
- Perform live video monitoring and follow established escalation procedures.
- Monitor alarms and respond according to site-specific instructions.
- Dispatch security guards and mobile patrol units to alarms, incidents, and client requests.
- Maintain regular communication with security personnel working across Canada.
- Receive incoming calls from security guards, supervisors, clients, and other authorized personnel.
- Track guard attendance, check-ins, late arrivals, missed shifts, and operational issues.
- Escalate urgent incidents to Canadian management, emergency services, or designated contacts when required.
- Maintain accurate dispatch logs, CCTV incident reports, and communication records.
- Review and document incidents using CCTV footage.
- Follow client-specific post orders and response procedures.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client sites, security systems, CCTV footage, and company information.
- Provide professional customer service at all times.
Qualifications
- Strong spoken and written English is required.
- Good computer and typing skills.
- Comfortable working with multiple computer screens and software applications simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
- Ability to communicate clearly over telephone, radio, and electronic messaging.
- Ability to remain calm and make appropriate decisions during emergencies.
- Previous experience in security dispatch, CCTV monitoring, call centres, control rooms, logistics dispatch, or customer service is preferred.
- Familiarity with CCTV, alarm monitoring, GPS tracking, or security software is an asset.
- Reliable attendance and professional conduct are essential.
Shift Requirements
Boss Security operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in Canada. Employees must be comfortable working scheduled shifts based on Canadian operational requirements.
Candidates must be willing to work evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
