We are hiring for Jr. Engineer - Maintenance ( shift Operations)
Location : MAraimalai Nagar ,Chennai
Qualifications : Diploma, Electrical Engineering
Experience : 1–4 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing industry (Tyre industry preferred).
Job Purpose: To ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation of plant equipment by executing preventive and breakdown maintenance activities, maintaining safety standards, supporting production targets, ensuring machine quality, and effectively managing shift operations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Shift Operations
Execute maintenance activities in all three shifts on a rotational basis.
Lead and coordinate maintenance activities during the assigned shift.
Ensure proper shift handover and takeover with detailed communication of pending jobs and machine status.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, Utility and Stores teams.
Breakdown Maintenance
Attend machine breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Escalate major issues when required.
Preventive Maintenance
Execute preventive maintenance as per schedule.
Verify machine condition before handing over to production.
Maintain PM records.
Quality
Ensure machine abnormalities do not affect tyre quality.
Correct machine abnormalities and support CAPA.
Safety
Follow all safety procedures including LOTO and PPE.
Report unsafe conditions and ensure safe work practices.
Energy Monitoring
Record daily energy meter readings.
Prepare and submit energy consumption reports.
Highlight abnormal energy consumption.
Documentation
Maintain breakdown history, shift reports and maintenance records.
Continuous Improvement
Participate in TPM, 5S, Kaizen and OEE improvement initiatives.
