Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated MSW (Medical Social Worker) to join our hospital team. The role involves providing psychosocial support to patients and families, coordinating care services, and assisting hospital departments in patient welfare and community outreach activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling and emotional support to patients and their families
- Assess patients’ social, financial, and psychological needs
- Assist patients with admission, discharge planning, and follow-up care
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and hospital departments for patient support
- Handle medico-social cases, referrals, and rehabilitation services
- Support insurance coordination, government health schemes, and welfare programs
- Maintain patient case records, reports, and hospital documentation
- Conduct patient education, awareness programs, and health camps
- Act as a liaison between hospital, NGOs, and government agencies
Eligibility / Qualification:
- MSW (Master of Social Work) – mandatory
- Medical / Hospital experience preferred (Freshers can also apply)
- Good communication skills (Tamil mandatory, English preferred)
- Basic computer knowledge for documentation and reporting
Skills Required:
