Job Description:
Looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our data engineering migration project as a core technical contributor. This is a 100% hands-on role focused on designing, building, and optimizing robust data pipelines and infrastructure on modern cloud platforms. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and thrives in a fast-paced migration environment where engineering excellence and attention to detail are paramount. You will work closely with the project team to deliver scalable, high-performance data solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
Responsibilities:
Hands-on development, testing, and deployment of data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using Talend, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.
Design and implement scalable data architectures on Azure cloud services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse).
Execute end-to-end migration of legacy data systems to modern cloud-native platforms with minimal disruption to business operations.
Perform data profiling, cleansing, transformation, and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency throughout the migration.
Optimize pipeline performance, troubleshoot failures, and implement monitoring and alerting solutions.
Collaborate with the clients to translate technical requirements into robust engineering solutions.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and contribute to continuous improvement of the data platform.
Support UAT, data reconciliation, and post-migration validation activities.
