Job Summary:
The Manager – Ayurvedic Manufacturing is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the manufacturing unit, ensuring efficient production of Ayurvedic products while maintaining compliance with applicable quality standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves managing production planning, quality systems, inventory, procurement, manpower, and continuous process improvement to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily manufacturing operations.
- Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining product quality and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the manufacturing of Ayurvedic medicines, herbal products, nutraceuticals, and personal care products in accordance with applicable regulations and company standards.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and quality management systems.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), Research & Development (R&D), Procurement, Warehouse, and Sales departments.
- Monitor production schedules, equipment utilization, and workforce productivity.
- Manage procurement and inventory of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment.
- Implement cost-control measures and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Prepare production reports, MIS reports, and operational performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate manufacturing personnel.
- Address operational challenges and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Qualifications
- Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA or Master's degree in Operations, Healthcare, or Manufacturing Management and is preferred.
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical, herbal, nutraceutical, or Ayurvedic manufacturing.
- Prior experience in a managerial or supervisory role is preferred.
