Responsibilities:
Negotiate pricing contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
Execute store work as instructed by the project manager, ensuring effective implementation.
Monitor receipt and accounting of materials, compiling and analyzing complete data for the organization.
Craft negotiation strategies to close deals on optimal terms.
Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and verification of stock availability.
Manage open purchase orders, assure timely low-cost delivery, investigate receiving problems.
Perform cost scenario analysis and benchmarking.
Issue purchase orders and meet subcontractors/suppliers on-site if necessary.
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in Purchase, Logistics, Inventory Management, and Procurement Management.
Excellent computer skills and willingness to learn company-created software.
Knowledge and direct experience in negotiating contracts and quotations with manufacturers and suppliers.
Proven history of working in high impact, supply chain engineering organizations.
Ability to analyze bills of material drawings and understand key requirements.
Experience in supply chain inventory control.
Good knowledge of vendors/suppliers to provide support for comparative analysis and vendor selection.
Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred (UG: Graduate Specialization, PG: Any Postgraduate).
Familiarity with adherence to ISO 9000 standards and practices relevant to the purchase division.
Proficiency in SAP MM module, vendor development, negotiation skills, and contracts finalization.
Bonus Skills:
Expertise in domain knowledge of the supply chain industry.
Experience with database management and analytics in a supply chain-related role.
Knowledge of purchase, store, and stock maintenance.
Ensure the candidate has experience in procurement, negotiation, vendor management, and maintaining operational efficiency within the supply chain. Preferred industry experience includes manufacturing, engineering, or construction. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments are essential.
