A Store Executive manages day-to-day store operations, focusing on inventory control, material handling, and vendor coordination. Key responsibilities include receiving, issuing, and organizing stock, maintaining accuracy in ERP systems , conducting physical audits, and reporting stock levels. They ensure optimal inventory levels and compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Track inventory levels, perform receiving (GRN), issuing, and storage of materials using FIFO/LIFO methods.
- Record Keeping: Maintain precise records of stock, material consumption, and invoices in ERP systems or Excel sheets.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors for incoming materials, follow up on pending deliveries, and manage vendor payments and compliance.
- Stock Audits: Conduct regular physical stock verification (quarterly/annual) to identify discrepancies and damaged products.
- Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and secure store environment to ensure safety.
- Reporting: Generate monthly stock consumption and non-moving items reports for management review.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Typically a bachelor’s degree in commerce, logistics, or a related field.
- Experience: Usually 1-6 years of experience in material management or retail.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP software (SAP MM module, Tally) is highly preferred.
- Abilities: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle manual labor (loading/unloading) if necessary.
