Key Responsibilities:
1. Promote and uphold JATF's commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, and a safe, respectful hostel environment free from bullying and ragging.
2. Ensure the health, hygiene, safety, welfare, and overall wellbeing of students residing in the assigned hostel, including first aid support and coordination during illness or emergencies.
3. Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to hostel rules, student codes of conduct, and institutional disciplinary procedures, escalating serious matters to the Head Hostel Administration / Associate Director & Head of Student Life.
4. Manage and respond to hostel incidents and emergencies, including health, safety, maintenance, and security issues, while coordinating with relevant stakeholders and support services.
5. Conduct regular and surprise inspections of hostel premises and dormitories to ensure cleanliness, discipline, safety, and compliance with hostel regulations.
6. Support student admissions, establish positive engagement with residents, and provide student-related information or reports as required.
7. Assist in implementing health & safety initiatives, including fire drills, crime prevention, and awareness programs.
8. Prepare annual hostel reports, disciplinary reports, and any other documentation required by the Head Hostel Administration, Student Life team, or Disciplinary Committee.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the effective operation of hostel services.
10. Reside in the designated Warden's accommodation throughout the tenure at JATF.
Must Have:
- Good written and verbal communication skills in Hindi and English(Local language is plus).
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in hostel administration, student affairs, residential life, education, or a similar role.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft word and excel
- Experience working with students in a residential or educational environment is preferred.
- Experience in handling student discipline, conflict resolution, emergency response, and welfare management.
- Basic knowledge of first aid, health & safety practices, and hostel operations is desirable.
- Willingness to reside on campus and respond to emergencies outside regular working hours.
