Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Murex Technical Lead to drive design, development, and integration of Murex (MX.3) platform across Front Office, Risk, and Back Office domains. The role requires deep expertise in Murex architecture, data models, workflows, and interfaces, enabling scalable and high-performance implementations in complex banking environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Murex Technical Development
Design and develop solutions using Murex MX.3 architecture
Configure datamarts, workflows, and simulation views
Customize Murex modules (FO, MO, BO)
Develop MxML exchange integrations and APIs
2. Integration & Interfaces
Build and maintain interfaces with upstream/downstream systems
Implement connectivity with:
Market data platforms (Reuters, Bloomberg)
Risk engines and reporting tools
Payment and settlement systems
Handle batch processing, real-time integration, and messaging frameworks
3. Data & Reporting
Design Murex datamart structures and ETL processes
Optimize reporting performance
Enable regulatory reporting (e.g., FRTB, IFRS9, EMIR )
4. Environment & Performance Management
Tune system performance (pricing/risk calculations)
Manage grid computing and distributed processing
Support release management and code deployments
5. Troubleshooting & Support
Provide L2/L3 support for production issues
Debug complex trade lifecycle and reconciliation issues
Ensure system stability and uptime
6. Stakeholder Collaboration
Work with Front Office, Risk, Finance, and IT teams
Translate business requirements into technical solutions
Support UAT, SIT, and production rollouts
Skill Requirements
Core Murex Skills:
Strong experience in Murex MX.3 (10+ years)
Expertise in:
Datamart (MDCS, RTBS)
Workflow configuration
Simulation views & reporting
Trade lifecycle management
Technical Skills:
Programming: Shell scripting, Python, SQL
Strong knowledge of:
Unix/Linux environments
Oracle/SQL databases
ETL and data processing frameworks
Experience with:
MxML Exchange
APIs / messaging systems (JMS, Kafka preferred)
Domain Knowledge:
Strong understanding of:
Treasury
Fixed Income, Derivatives, FX, Equities
Risk metrics: VaR, PFE, sensitivities
Trade lifecycle and settlement processes
Preferred Skills:
Experience with cloud deployments (AWS/Azure)
Knowledge of DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins)
Exposure to regulatory frameworks (Basel III, FRTB)
Prior experience in large-scale Murex implementation programs
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s/master’s degree in engineering, Finance, or related field
Murex certifications (preferred)
Proven experience in tier-1 global banking environment
