The incumbent will manage overall operations and is responsible for the effective and successful management of labour, productivity, quality control and safety measures. Ensure safe and efficient operations. Enhance the operational procedure, systems and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities:
- Clear understanding of Operations of shop-floor in a Chemical industry. Should be in a position to understand, analyse and provide technical solutions on the shop-floor
- Complete production responsibility of all sections
- Ensure quality, quantity and productivity as per set standards
- Provide inputs on operational trouble shooting
- Provide engineering solutions to improve productivity, quality, safety and quantity
- Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel and discipline employees
- Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions
- Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits
- Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyse variances; initiate corrective actions
- Develop operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; develop, implement, enforce and evaluate policies and procedures; develop processes for receiving product, equipment utilization
- Analyse process workflow, employee and space requirements and equipment layout; implement changes
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Accomplish operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed
- Manage staff levels, wages, hours, contract labour
- Responsible for all unit supervisors by reviewing the work
- Manage relationships with key operations vendors
- Serve as primary point of contact when there are customer issues, customer service
- Communicate customer issues with team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints
- Work closely with management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation.
- Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at department meetings
- Work closely with the inventory team to perform analysis of our inventory and ensure we are utilizing our inventory effectively, purchasing the right equipment, maintaining solid inventory data and reduce expenses
Skills & Competencies
- Proven relevant working experience of 10 to 15 years on shop-floor operations
- Proven track record with at least 5 years of achieving effective technical solutions, human work force management, machine utilization and achieving quality products beyond the set targets
- Good understanding of chemical unit operations and processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Proficiency in English, Hindi
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build rapport at various levels shopfloor staff to Company Management
- Efficient Time Management and Planning Skills
- BE Chemical / BE Production from a reputed institute
- Experience in production of Stabilizers and Stearates or Master Batch will be a definite advantage
- Experience of customer liaising and resolution of any service-related issues
- Operations Management post-graduation is highly desirable
- Experience in customer presentations and conducting presentations in seminars
Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
