Core Roles & Responsibilities1. System Design & Integration
- Architecting Infrastructure: Translate stakeholder requirements into detailed technical specifications and system designs.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept and system modeling to practical completion and validation.
- Technology Integration: Combine different subsystems, hardware components, and software applications to function as a unified, cohesive product.
2. Infrastructure Management & Maintenance
- System Deployment: Install, configure, and test operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows), application software, and system management tools.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor system health, conduct capacity planning, and implement upgrades to guarantee the highest level of system availability.
- Backup & Recovery: Manage regular data backups and disaster recovery protocols to prevent data loss.
3. Security & Compliance
- Threat Mitigation: Design and implement cybersecurity standards, firewalls, and access controls to protect systems from malware and unauthorized access.
- Policy Adherence: Ensure the organization's infrastructure aligns with regulatory guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
4. Troubleshooting & Support
- L2/L3 Technical Support: Act as an escalation point to resolve deep, complex technical issues.
- Diagnostics & Debugging: Run daily testing and diagnostics to identify bottlenecks, vulnerabilities, or system failures, and provide long-term solutions.
5. Collaboration & Documentation
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: Work closely with software developers, network administrators, management, and vendors.
- Documentation: Document system configurations, architectural changes, and standard operating procedures.
