Main Purpose:
The HR Senior Associate is accountable for supporting service delivery related to the US & Canada Total Rewards Programs (Heath & Insurance, Disability, Benefits and Pension etc). The role will be responsible for updating HR Tools, processing invoices, Vendor liaison, Service escalation mgmt with appropriate team/vendor etc. Position will also be responsible for supporting the Benefits and Disability SPA Boxes and reviewing participant and HRBP issues and ensuring proper team responds. The role provides reporting as well as support/training to the HR team.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews participant & HRBP escalations via SPA boxes (Benefits and Disability) and directs to proper team for resolution
- Carry subject expertise on Benefits, Employee insurance, disability, LTD/STD to work with vendors and support the process overall
- Ensuring all claims and appeals are documented and forwarded for time bound responses
- Audits LTD eligibility for WC cases to ensure accurate submission to Insurer
- Coordinate H&I & Retirement quarterly SOX compliance documentation to key reviewers
- Manages Retirement Gift Reimbursement for PFC
- Manages Tuition Reimbursement for PBC
- Manages RRSP & DCPP Cheques Remittance for Leaves and Maternity Leaves
- Manages invoice process for disability, leaves, benefits and pension
- Manages HR Tools site and accuracy of posted information. Primary contact for for posting information Additional specific Information on job duties:
- Submits LTD Plan Sponsor Statement to Manulife for new LTD cases
- Creates Medical Management cases in Morneau Shepell Portal
- Creates SAP changes report weekly and distributes to HR
- Supports reporting process for period, quarterly and annual reports, including maintenance of program hierarchy with vendor
- Manages continuation of benefits requirements for severances with Manulife
- Manages EI sub-plan program requirements related to CBA renewals
- Manages EI program reduction requirements to meet compliance criteria
- Manages requirements related to system feeds, error reports, etc. by working directly with vendors to resolve issues and supports implementation of system upgrades as needed.
- Support YE process for benefits and pension (ie. auditing of pension records, reports to Alight for year-end taxation, etc.)
Key Skills:
- Min. Bachleors degree, preferably in HR
- 2-5 yrs experience in Benefits, Insurance & Disability or similar environment support for USA & Canada
- Decision making abilities, problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively on all regular / daily activities
- Project, Workload, Priorities management skills
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of company personnel and vendors
