Position: School Nurse
Job Purpose
To provide basic healthcare support to students and staff, respond to medical emergencies, and promote a safe and healthy school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first aid and basic medical care to students and staff.
- Attend to minor injuries and illnesses during school hours.
- Maintain student health records and medical documentation.
- Administer medication as per school policy and parental authorization.
- Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate with parents or healthcare providers when required.
- Monitor and maintain the school's first aid kits and medical supplies.
- Ensure the health room is clean, organized, and well-equipped.
- Support health awareness initiatives and school health programs.
- Assist with health and safety procedures during school events and activities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the school management.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Valid Nursing Council registration.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred.
Experience
- Prior experience as a School Nurse or in a hospital/clinic is preferred.
