Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Design & Development Engineer with expertise in automotive exterior plastic trim development. The candidate will be responsible for managing complete product development activities, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful project execution from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design and development activities for automotive exterior plastic trim components.
- Understand customer requirements, specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure implementation of DFM, DFA, and DFMEA methodologies throughout product development.
- Review and interpret GD&T requirements and ensure manufacturability.
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, tooling teams, quality, and manufacturing functions.
- Manage mould development activities and tooling feasibility reviews.
- Lead fixture design, checking fixture development, and assembly fixture validation.
- Support DVP activities and customer sign-off processes.
- Drive project timelines, technical reviews, and development milestones.
- Provide technical solutions and guidance during product development and validation stages.
- Ensure timely delivery of customer requirements and project deliverables.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Automotive Exterior Plastic Trim Development.
- Expertise in complete product development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of DFM, DFA, DFMEA, APQP, and GD&T.
- Experience in mould design and tooling development.
- Knowledge of fixture design and validation processes.
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Mandatory:
Education
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
