Job Title: Boys Hostel Warden

Reports To: Hostel Administrator
Job Summary:
The Boys Hostel Warden is responsible for ensuring the safety, discipline, and well-being of students residing in the hostel. The warden will oversee the daily operations of the hostel, enforce rules, address student concerns, and provide a comfortable and secure living environment.
Key Responsibilities:1. Student Welfare & Safety:
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for all hostel residents.
- Address students' personal and academic concerns and provide guidance.
- Maintain emergency contacts and be available for emergencies at all times.
- Ensure medical assistance is provided when needed and liaise with healthcare providers.
2. Discipline & Hostel Management:
- Enforce hostel rules and regulations, ensuring a disciplined and respectful environment.
- Monitor and manage entry and exit of students as per hostel policies.
- Prevent unauthorized visitors and ensure security protocols are followed.
- Address any instances of indiscipline and report to the appropriate authorities.
3. Administration & Maintenance:
- Supervise housekeeping, cleanliness, and hygiene in hostel premises.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff for repairs and upkeep of hostel facilities.
- Maintain records of students, attendance, complaints, and incidents.
- Manage hostel inventory, including furniture, bedding, and essential supplies.
4. Communication & Coordination:
- Act as a liaison between students, parents, and the institution's management.
- Organize meetings with students to discuss grievances, feedback, and improvements.
- Assist in organizing hostel activities and events for students' well-being.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Preference for candidates with experience in hostel management, social work, or student counseling).
- Experience: Minimum 1 years in a similar role, preferably in an educational institution.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle conflicts and discipline issues tactfully.
- Good administrative and organizational skills.
- Empathy and understanding towards students’ concerns.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and safety procedures.
Working Conditions:
- Residential position with accommodation provided within the hostel.
- 24/7 availability for emergencies.
- Night and weekend duties as per requirement.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
