Job Summary
Open Secret is hiring an Area Sales Executive to drive sales growth and distribution across General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT) channels. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, expanding market presence, managing distributor and retailer relationships, and ensuring strong in-store execution of the brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for assigned territory
- Manage and grow distribution in General Trade and Modern Trade outlets
- Appoint, manage, and motivate distributors and salesmen
- Ensure product availability, visibility, and correct pricing across stores
- Execute trade schemes, promotions, and new product launches
- Monitor primary and secondary sales and ensure healthy stock rotation
- Drive merchandising standards and shelf execution in MT stores
- Build strong relationships with key retailers and MT store managers
- Track competitor activity and share market insights with the team
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports
- Ensure timely collection and adherence to company policies
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of FMCG GT & MT sales operations
- Good negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to analyze sales data and market trends
- Hands-on, field-oriented approach with execution focus
- Proficient in basic MS Excel / sales reporting tools
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate in any discipline
- 2–5 years of FMCG sales experience in GT & MT
- Experience in food / snacks / FMCG brands is an advantage
- Local market knowledge is highly preferred
