Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounts & Finance Manager to oversee the complete accounting and financial operations of the organization, including its associate companies and branch offices. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with Income Tax, GST, ROC, Shops & Establishments Act, PF & ESI and other applicable statutory regulations while providing accurate financial reporting and strategic financial support to management.
The role requires strong leadership in accounting operations, statutory compliance, financial controls, taxation, audits, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management
- Manage and supervise complete accounting functions including Cash, Bank, Debtors, Creditors, and General Ledger accounting.
- Ensure all accounting transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with applicable laws and accounting standards.
- Prepare timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial reports for management review and decision-making.
- Coordinate with management, internal departments, suppliers, customers, auditors, banks, and statutory authorities on financial matters.
- Perform reconciliation of debtor and creditor accounts and obtain periodic balance confirmations.
- Verify subcontractor and supplier invoices against work orders and process payments.
- Manage payroll processing, employee benefits calculations, and salary accounting.
- Prepare personal income tax returns for directors.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
- Pass adjusting journal entries related to accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and other accounting provisions.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Prepare, review, and file monthly GST returns (GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B).
- Reconcile GSTR-2A and GSTR-2B for Input Tax Credit (ITC) compliance.
- Handle GST annual return preparation and audit-related documentation.
- Manage TDS/TCS compliance including payments, quarterly returns, and annual filings.
- Coordinate ROC filings and statutory compliance activities with auditors.
- Assist in preparation of Tax Audit Reports and related annexures.
- Handle GST and Income Tax assessments, notices, appeals, and compliance matters.
- Ensure timely filing of all statutory returns and maintenance of statutory records.
Audit & Financial Control
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
- Conduct internal audits and stock audits.
- Maintain year-end provisions and closing entries.
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Develop and strengthen accounting systems, processes, and internal controls.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), CA Inter, CMA, MBA Finance, or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in accounting, taxation, and financial management.
- Strong knowledge of GST, Income Tax, TDS, ROC compliance, and audit procedures.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple entities and branch operations.
