We are looking for a qualified and experienced Consultant Medical Gastroenterologist to diagnose, evaluate and manage patients suffering from gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and digestive tract disorders. The candidate should possess strong clinical expertise in gastroenterology procedures and provide high-quality patient care in OPD, IPD and emergency settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat diseases related to the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas and biliary system.
- Manage OPD, IPD, emergency consultations and follow-up patients efficiently.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterology procedures such as upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy and related interventions.
- Evaluate and manage patients with liver diseases, gastrointestinal bleeding, inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatitis and related disorders.
- Coordinate with ICU, surgery, radiology, pathology and other departments for comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, documentation and discharge summaries.
- Provide consultation for referred cases from other specialties.
- Participate in clinical discussions, CMEs, audits and departmental activities.
- Ensure adherence to NABH standards, infection control policies and patient safety protocols.
- Counsel patients and attendants regarding diagnosis, treatment plans and preventive healthcare.
Eligibility Criteria
- MD / DNB in General Medicine.
- DM / DNB in Gastroenterology (Medical Gastroenterology).
- Valid NMC / State Medical Council Registration.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Gastroenterology preferred.
- Experience in independently handling endoscopic procedures and gastroenterology emergencies will be preferred.
