What your responsibilities will be?
· Designing and implementing new features and functionality.
· Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture.
· Ensuring high performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS.
· Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
· Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications along with designing and developing responsive design websites.
· Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers.
· Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
· Generating WordPress themes and plugins.
· Conducting website performance tests and monitoring the performance of the live website.
· Troubleshooting content issues.
· Creating website architecture with good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
· Developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites according to business and project requirements.
· Integrating third-party services and APIs with WordPress websites.
· Maintaining website security, functionality, scalability, and compatibility across browsers and devices.
AI Skills & Responsibilities
· Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, or similar tools.
· Ability to use AI tools for code generation, debugging, troubleshooting, optimization, and documentation.
· Ability to use AI to improve development efficiency and solve technical problems.
· Basic understanding of using AI APIs or AI-powered features within web applications/WordPress, where required.
· Ability to review, test, and validate AI-generated code before implementation.
· Willingness to learn and adopt relevant AI tools and technologies to improve development workflows.
What are we looking for?
· Excellent command over designing and building the website front-end.
· Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome Inspector, etc.
· Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages.
· Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial.
· Strong understanding of PHP back-end development.
· Ability to manage projects.
· Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.
· Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, and SVN, along with understanding of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats such as JSON and XML.
· Strong WordPress development and customization experience.
· Experience in designing, developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress themes and plugins.
· Strong understanding of website architecture, aesthetics, responsive design, and usability.
· Ability to manage databases and server-side integrations.
· Ability to conduct website performance testing and troubleshoot technical and content-related issues.
· Good understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility.
· Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into functional, scalable, and maintainable WordPress solutions.
