Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maintenance Engineer to join our Service & Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation and maximum uptime of Data Logger, RTU, PLC, and SCADA systems through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely corrective actions.
This role is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to one year of experience who are eager to build a career in industrial automation, instrumentation, and control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance of Data Loggers, RTUs, PLC panels, SCADA systems, HMI workstations, and industrial communication networks.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system faults, including I/O module failures, communication issues, loop errors, and hardware malfunctions to minimize system downtime.
- Carry out minor PLC programming modifications, logic updates, program backups, and SCADA graphic configuration changes as required.
- Inspect, calibrate, and maintain field instruments such as sensors, transmitters, VFDs, actuators, and other control devices connected to automation systems.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial communication networks, including Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, and Ethernet/IP.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, breakdown reports, calibration logs, change management documentation, and inventory of critical spare parts.
- Coordinate with engineering and customer teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality procedures, and maintenance best practices during all service activities.
- Provide on-site support for preventive maintenance, emergency breakdowns, and system restoration whenever required.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Fresher or up to 1 year of hands-on experience in Electronics, PLC, SCADA, or Industrial Automation maintenance.
- Working knowledge of PLC and SCADA platforms such as:
- Schneider Electric
- Siemens
- Basic understanding of industrial instrumentation and control systems.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols is an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel within Mumbai and nearby locations as required.
