Key Responsibilities & Requirements
- Handle end-to-end execution of marine buoy and oceanographic instrumentation projects, including planning, coordination, and timely delivery.
- Lead and coordinate a small technical team for project execution, assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure quality compliance.
- Interface and integrate oceanographic sensors such as Radiometer, Fluorometer, ADCP, GPS, AIS, CTD, and related instruments.
- Verify and configure sensor communication protocols (RS232, RS485, SDI-12, Analog, Modbus, UART).
- Perform bench testing, validation, calibration checks, and troubleshooting of integrated systems.
- Work with dataloggers such as Campbell Scientific CR1000X, configure serial communication, and develop/modify CRBasic programs.
- Diagnose and resolve data logging, telemetry, and communication issues.
- Prepare wiring diagrams, integration drawings, and detailed SOP documentation.
- Assemble and test marine-grade cable harnesses including MIL-spec and Subconn-type bulkhead connectors and pigtails.
- Conduct continuity, insulation resistance, and load testing of cable assemblies.
- Ensure proper marine-grade waterproofing, resin moulding, and quality control.
- Configure and troubleshoot 4G LTE / GSM modems, RF telemetry, INSAT, and GPS systems.
- Support remote data transmission systems including FTP and server communication.
- Assist in microcontroller-based system testing, including I2C sensors, ADC inputs, flash logging, and firmware validation.
- Support buoy integration, platform-level testing, and system validation prior to deployment.
- Participate in offshore deployment, commissioning, servicing, and recovery operations.
- Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for technical clarifications, compatibility verification, and procurement support.
- Maintain project-wise effort tracking, documentation, and prepare technical/customer reports.
Qualification & Skill Requirements
- B.E / B.Tech in ECE / EEE / Instrumentation / Marine Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of serial communication protocols and sensor interfacing.
- Understanding of embedded systems and basic firmware concepts.
- Experience in marine connectors, cable assemblies, and instrumentation systems.
- Experience in marine or industrial instrumentation projects preferred.
- Knowledge of AIS, GPS, telemetry systems, and mooring systems is an added advantage.
- Basic programming skills in C / Embedded C / Python preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Documentation-oriented and process-driven mindset.
- Willingness to travel for field and offshore deployments.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
