Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Site Safety Planning
Prepare safety plans, method statements.
2. Implementation of Safety Measures
Ensure proper use of PPE (helmet, gloves, harness, safety shoes).
Enforce safety procedures at site—scaffolding, barricading, signage.
3. Inspection & Monitoring
Daily site safety inspections.
Check equipment, tools, lifting machinery, and working conditions.
4. Compliance & Regulations
Ensure compliance with standards like Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) or Indian safety norms (IS codes, Labour laws).
Maintain safety records and permits (hot work permit, height work permit, etc.).
5. Training & Awareness
Conduct toolbox talks and safety training for workers.
Educate labor on hazards and safe practices.
6. Accident Prevention & Investigation
Investigate incidents/near-misses.
Suggest corrective and preventive actions.
7. Emergency Preparedness
Plan evacuation procedures, mock drills.
Ensure fire safety systems and first aid availability.
8. Coordination
Work with project managers, engineers, and contractors to maintain safety standards.
Ensure safe handling of chemicals (like membranes, admixtures).
Monitor confined spaces (tanks, pits).
Control work at height (terrace waterproofing, chajjas).
Ensure proper ventilation and fire safety.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
Education:
Experience:
- Safety engineer : 3 years (Preferred)
- Civil engineering: 3 years (Preferred)
