Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and dedicated Sports Teacher / Physical Education Teacher to join our school. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging physical education and sports activities, developing students’ fitness and sporting skills, and encouraging teamwork, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct engaging Physical Education classes for students.
- Train and coach students in various sports and games.
- Organize and supervise inter-house and inter-school sports competitions.
- Identify and nurture students with sporting potential.
- Develop students’ physical fitness, coordination, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
- Prepare students for sports events, tournaments, and competitions.
- Maintain proper records of students’ participation and performance.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during sports activities.
- Maintain and monitor sports equipment and facilities.
- Encourage maximum student participation in physical activities.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and school management for sports-related events and activities.
- Perform other duties related to sports and physical education as assigned by the school.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant experience as a Sports/PE Teacher in a school will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of different sports and physical fitness activities.
- Strong communication and classroom-management skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage students.
- Energetic, responsible, disciplined, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
- Candidates with experience in coaching competitive sports will be an added advantage.
