CSSD Supervisor - (Nagpur)

ROLES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sterilization Service Management:
Monitor sterilization procedures and ensure all are conducted in accordance with accepted sterilization methods, principles, standards and regulations;
Oversee development, reviews and implementation of sterilizing programs conducive to the delivery of quality CSSD services through the application of best practice;
Complete CSSD procedure development, compliance and auditing as required
Ensure that all resources required to deliver quality CSSD services are available;
Ensure that all CSSD staff maintain a contemporary knowledge of practices and standards in CSSD ensuring that they are applied to the provision of service delivery;
Ensure that CSSD staff liaise with appropriate clinical personnel as required to facilitate a high quality service;
Demonstrate and promote exemplary documentation skills for all areas of CSSD reporting and validating;
Ensure CSSD stock levels are maintained to provide adequate supply to the Hospital and are readily available
Liaise with the OT HOD to ensure the quality of service provided by CSSD is acceptable and appropriate;
Monitor the quality of CSSD services and provide feedback and/or improvements to the OT HOD where appropriate.
Human Resource Management:
In consultation with the OT HOD, ensure that recruitment, selection, induction and separation of CSSD personnel is conducted in accordance with organizational policies and procedures;
Assist the OT Manager by ensuring key performance targets within the unit including rostering; work hours; care and service performance are met;
Ensure staff performance is reviewed and managed in accordance with organizational policy;
Ensure all employees are competent and meeting role and service delivery expectations;
Anticipate and identify staff training needs and requirements;
Ensure that sufficient and appropriate labour resources are available to meet service delivery needs;
Authorize staff time and attendance and leave records as stipulated in the hospital policy
Other Responsibilities:
Performs all duties and responsibilities of CSSD Technician in accordance to hospital protocol and in adherence to the infection control standards.
Accept, adhere to and promote requirements to a safe working environment, appropriate standards and risk management guidelines to ensure health and safety obligations are met to maintain a safe working environment
Participate in meetings and forums as required;
Foster a cooperative work environment and maintain open communication through effective interpersonal skills and appropriate forums;
Participate in and recommend quality activities aiming to improve work practices to exceed customer expectations;
Accept individual responsibility and accountability for own performance and professional development;
Accept and adhere to all policies and procedures of Alexis Hospital;
Undertake other duties/responsibilities as directed by the designated authority
Coordinates with external hospitals for sterilization as and when required.
Qualifications:
Education & Licensure:

Diploma in CSSD
-
Paramedical council Registration
Experience & Qualifications
-
7–10 years of experience in an operation theatre environment.

Previous supervisory or team lead experience in CSSD is preferred.
Skills:

Strong leadership, coordination, and organizational abilities.

Excellent communication and crisis management skills.

Sound knowledge of CSSD protocols, infection control, and emergency preparedness.

Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and hospital management systems.
