C++ Qt Desktop Application Engineer Summary
We are looking for a C++ Qt Software Developer to join our software development team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in C++ application development, Qt, Windows desktop applications, software architecture, debugging, and performance optimization.
You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, modernizing, and optimizing software applications while working closely with other developers and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance Windows desktop applications using C++ and Qt.
- Develop clean, maintainable, and scalable software using object-oriented programming principles.
- Work on existing applications, including legacy code migration and modernization.
- Analyze and resolve complex software issues through debugging and root-cause analysis.
- Optimize application performance, memory usage, and resource utilization.
- Develop and maintain cross-platform software components for Windows and Linux.
- Write automated tests and maintain software quality through appropriate testing practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to software architecture and design decisions.
- Develop build scripts and automation using CMake, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Work with Git and GitHub for source control and collaborative development.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated builds using GitHub Actions.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
- Collaborate with team members in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Required Skills
- Strong programming experience in C++.
- Professional experience with Qt / Qt 5 / Qt 6.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming.
- Good knowledge of C++ STL, memory management, pointers, and multithreading.
- Experience developing Windows desktop applications.
- Experience with CMake and build systems.
- Experience with Git and GitHub.
- Knowledge of Python for scripting, automation, or development tasks.
- Basic to good knowledge of Bash and PowerShell.
- Experience with software debugging, testing, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with Linux development environments.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle and engineering practices.
Preferred Skills
Experience with any of the following will be an advantage:
- OpenGL, DirectX, Vulkan, or other graphics technologies.
- 3D application development.
- GPU programming or CUDA.
- Large-data or high-performance applications.
