Role Overview
We are looking for an empathetic, detailed-oriented Overseas Education Counselor to guide students through their international academic journeys. You will be the primary point of contact for students and parents who want to study abroad—especially in the UK and Europe. Your job is to understand their profiles, recommend the best universities, and walk them seamlessly through the application, admission, and visa processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Student Counseling: Conduct in-person, telephonic, and virtual counseling sessions with students and parents to evaluate their academic background, career goals, and financial budgets.
- University Selection: Shortlist appropriate courses, universities, and destinations that match the student’s profile.
- Application Management: Assist students with compiling their application files, including checking Statement of Purpose (SOP) drafts, Letters of Recommendation (LORs), and financial records.
- Lead Conversion: Effectively follow up on hot inbound leads generated by our marketing and field business development teams, converting inquiries into final registrations.
- End-to-End Processing: Handle university portal submissions, track offer letters, coordinate with university representatives, and assist with the final visa filing process.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience as an Overseas Education Counselor (candidates with core expertise in UK university admissions will be given strong preference).
- Communication: Exceptional listening and verbal communication skills in both English and Hindi to build quick trust with anxious parents and students.
- Process Knowledge: Solid understanding of UK university intake cycles (September/January), entry requirements, IELTS waiver rules, and the CAS/Visa process.
- Traits: High patience, organizational skills to track multiple student applications simultaneously, and a strong work ethic.
