Job Summary
We are looking for enthusiastic and goal-oriented Academic Counselors to join our admissions team. In this role, you will counsel prospective students and parents, guide them in selecting the right courses, and convert inquiries into admissions. This is an individual contributor role that requires strong communication, relationship-building, and sales skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel students and parents regarding Lakshya's courses and career opportunities.
- Understand students' learning needs and recommend suitable programs.
- Convert inquiries and leads into successful admissions.
- Interact with prospective students through both face-to-face and virtual counseling sessions.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with students and parents.
- Achieve and exceed individual sales and admission targets.
- Follow up on leads generated through marketing campaigns and other channels.
- Generate referrals through existing students and parents to expand the sales pipeline.
- Handle objections, negotiate course fees where applicable, and close admissions.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities and student interactions in CRM/Google Forms.
- Ensure excellent customer service throughout the admission process.
Requirements
- 0–4 years of experience in B2C sales or customer-facing roles.
- Freshers with excellent communication and interpersonal skills are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience in the education sector or academic counseling is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English and Malayalam.
- Good counseling, persuasion, and relationship management skills.
- Target-oriented with a passion for achieving sales goals.
- Understanding of student and parent behavior is an added advantage.
- Willingness to work 6 days a week.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of B2C sales experience in the education industry is preferred.
- Experience in admissions counseling or educational sales will be an advantage.
