Position Summary
The Store Incharge is responsible for managing inventory, overseeing stock movement, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring proper storage of materials. The role ensures smooth supply operations by monitoring stock levels, coordinating with vendors, and preventing shortages or overstocking.
Key Responsibilities Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of stock inward and outward.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of required materials.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification.
- Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
- Prevent stock loss, damage, or pilferage.
Receiving & Dispatch
- Receive materials and verify quantity and quality against purchase orders.
- Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRN).
- Coordinate dispatch of materials to departments.
- Maintain proper documentation for all transactions.
Record Keeping & Documentation
- Maintain inventory registers and stock reports.
- Update stock entries in ERP/software systems.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.
- Ensure proper filing of purchase orders and invoices.
Coordination
- Coordinate with purchase department for reordering stock.
- Communicate with vendors regarding shortages or damaged goods.
- Support other departments with material requirements.
Storage & Safety
- Ensure proper storage conditions (temperature, labeling, stacking).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of store area.
- Follow safety and compliance procedures.
Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Commerce/Logistics preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in storekeeping or inventory management.
- Experience in hotel/restaurant stores is an advantage (if applicable).
Required Skills
- Knowledge of inventory management systems (ERP preferred).
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (Excel, inventory software).
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per hour
