Academic Teacher – Classes 1–10 & PCM (Classes 11–12)
Indian Defence Academy, Dehradun is looking for two dedicated and experienced Academic Teachers to join our academic team.
We are looking for teachers who can effectively handle school-level academics and support students preparing for competitive and defence-oriented examinations.
Position 1: Academic Teacher – Classes 1 to 10
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and manage academic subjects for students up to Class 10.
- Explain concepts clearly using simple and effective teaching methods.
- Plan and conduct regular classes, assignments and assessments.
- Monitor students' academic progress and provide individual guidance.
- Help students strengthen their basic concepts and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain a disciplined and positive classroom environment.
- Coordinate with the academic team regarding student performance and learning requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in a relevant subject.
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
- Strong communication and classroom-management skills.
- Ability to work with school-going students in a structured residential/academic environment.
Position 2: PCM Faculty – Classes 11 & 12
Subjects: Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics to Classes 11 and 12.
- Deliver concept-based and exam-oriented lessons.
- Prepare students for school examinations and competitive-level academic requirements.
- Conduct regular tests, assignments and doubt-clearing sessions.
- Analyse student performance and provide personalised academic support.
- Strengthen students' conceptual understanding and problem-solving abilities.
- Maintain proper records of academic progress.
- Work closely with the academic team to ensure consistent learning outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or a relevant discipline.
- Strong command of the respective subject(s).
- Previous teaching experience for Classes 11–12 preferred.
- Experience with CBSE curriculum will be an advantage.
- Good communication, classroom-management and mentoring skills.
Working Hours
5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time – depending on candidate profile and institute requirements
