About the Project
We are setting up a state-of-the-art, premium A2 dairy farm in the outskirts of Patna, dedicated to producing high-quality, chemical-free, 100% pure A2 milk from indigenous Indian cattle breeds (such as Sahiwal, Gir, and Tharparkar). We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and hands-on Dairy Farm Manager to lead this project from setup to peak operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Herd Management & Animal Welfare:
Oversee the daily health, nutrition, and overall welfare of a 100-cow indigenous herd.
Monitor cattle breeding programs, artificial insemination, pregnancy tracking, and calving management.
Maintain strict biosecurity protocols, vaccination schedules, and coordinate regularly with visiting veterinarians.
Feed & Nutrition Management:
Plan, source, and manage high-quality green fodder, dry fodder, and feed concentrates tailored for A2 dairy cows.
Supervise daily feeding routines to optimize milk yield and quality without compromising cattle health.
Milking & Quality Control:
Ensure hygienic, automated or semi-automated milking operations.
Maintain rigorous quality control standards for pure A2 milk production, chilling, packaging, and cold-chain storage.
Team Leadership & Labor Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise farm workers, milking staff, and support personnel.
Set daily operational schedules and foster a safe, productive working environment.
Record Keeping & Administration:
Maintain accurate digital and physical logs of milk yields, feed inventory, health records, breeding history, and operational expenses.
Manage local procurement of farm essentials and coordinate with logistics for smooth supply chain delivery to Patna markets.
Candidate Requirements
Education: Degree or Diploma in Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc), Dairy Science, Animal Husbandry, or Agriculture.
Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on management experience in a commercial dairy farm, preferably with indigenous breeds (Gir, Sahiwal, Red Sindhi).
Skills & Competencies:
Deep understanding of cattle nutrition, disease prevention, and modern dairy management systems.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage and motivate farm labor.
Basic computer literacy for inventory and record management.
Fluency in Hindi and English (knowledge of local languages like Bhojpuri/Magahi is an added advantage).
Mindset: Hands-on, problem-solving attitude with a genuine passion for sustainable and ethical dairy farming.
